Who remembers climbing up on a patient's bed and using the Allis manoeuvre to reduce a hip?

​The Captain Morgan Technique for the Reduction of the Dislocated Hip

• patient supine; 90 degrees hip and knee flexion
• step one foot onto trolley Captain Morgan style
• position your knee behind the patient's knee
• place one hand under the patient's knee and the other over the patient's ankle
• use hand behind patient's knee to lift the patient's femur
• plantarflex your ankle so that your propped knee can lift the patient's femur
• gently use your hand on the patient's ankle to leverage down against the patient's tib/fib
