Current activity

January 2021
Design team meetings have started to outline the different areas for adult ED, Paeds ED, SDEC and how patients will arrive and be assessed.
Imaging provision is key - the aim is to have XR and CT facilities immediately adjacent to clinical areas to make patient movement as efficient as possible.

 December 2020
Following the move to a new combined scheme, the design work has required a fresh start.
We are currently looking at the 1:500 floor plans, to agree the basic layout of the clinical areas. We are using the principles agreed during the design phase for TUEC, and the additional learning from COVID to inform these decision. If you would like to know more, please get in touch with Clare Bosanko,  Vicky Carter, Higgi or Ian McCarthy.
